My favorite classic music

I like to listen to classical music very much. When I am so tired, I often listen to it to relax. My father often enjoys CDs or TV programs of classical music. He is a member of Kumamoto Symphony Orchestra. He plays the cello and sometimes practice to it at home. He can play the piano too. My mother belonged to the brass band club when she was a junior high school and high school student. She played the flute. My sister can play the piano and the clarinet. I had many chance to listen to classical music. This is why I like it.

Chopin is composer I like the best. I am well impressed by his work. The melody of his music played with the piano is very sensitive and profound. It is very comfortable for me. I think that he is genius and he is one of the best composers in the world.

My zodiac sign and blood type

My zodiac sign is Scorpio. People of Scorpio are said “You like meeting members of the opposite sex.” When I first heard it, I do not think so. I think that the people who have Scorpio sign are not exceptional. Other people also like to meet with the opposite sex. But, I suppose the people who have Scorpio might be attracted each other. Both of my mother and father’s signs are Scorpio. Besides, also my grand father’s sign are. Are these coincidence? I do not know.

My blood type is “B”. B often fell small. When someone asks me the blood type, I do not want to answer it. Because, almost all the people looks me as if I am unusual to know that my blood type is “B”. The people whose blood types are B are thought they are selfish and optimistic. It is on the right track actually. My sister often says to my father “You are really selfish!” He is very optimistic. So, his blood type is also B.

Book review # 7 (A Christmas Carol)

This is the story about a money lender. His name is Scrooge. He was a grasping old man. He had no friends. He hate Christmas, he thought it was ridiculous. He had never said “Merry Christmas” to anyone.

One Christmas Eve, Marley’s ghost appeared in Scrooge’s house. Scrooge and Marley had managed a firm together before Marley died. Marley’s ghost said to Scrooge “You will be haunted by three spirits.” It was true.

The first spirit was the Ghost of Christmas Past. The ghost showed Scrooge his lonely childhood days or his old love who married to another man.

The second spirit was the Ghost of Christmas Present. The ghost showed Bob’s family. Though they were poor, they were enjoying their Christmas, and they thanked Scrooge. Then ghost took Scrooge to his nephew Fred’s house. At the Christmas dinner party, Fred said “I feel sorry for Scrooge and I wish him a Merry Christmas whatever he is.”

The last spirit is the Ghost of Future. Scrooge saw a dead man lay on the bed alone. Scrooge knew who the dead man was. No one except Bob’s family sorrowed his death. Some people stole things from dead man’s house and tried to sell them. Some people looked happy because they owed Scrooge much money.

Scrooge thought about himself and wanted to change. Next morning, he waked up with joy. He bought a big turkey and sent to Bob’s family. He went out side and said “Merry Christmas” to everyone. He visited Fred and enjoyed the party. Scrooge promised to take care of Bob and his family, and he was as good as his word. He never saw the spirit again and lived happily.


Feelings
I remember that I had read this story when I was a little child. But I could not remember it content. So, I felt as if it was my first time read it.

Three ghost showed Scrooge his past, present and future life. They taught him why he was not happy even though he was rich and what he should do to enjoy the rest of his life. Of course, Scrooge is a rather extreme case. But I think it is not a special case.

In those days, we tend to think that we can live happily if we have much money. This story tells us what is more important than money for our happy life. Though this picture book is written for little children, it is good enough for adults.
